Replaced fuse still not working

see this causes and fix it. God bless youNo Lights or Power, Unit seems Dead First check is the main fuse of the unit. On countertop units, you will need to take the shell off. The fuse will be close to where the cord comes through into the unit. OTR units, this main fuse is usually behind the control panel or possibly behind the vent. Usually the fuse is obvious if blown, otherwise test with an OHM meter, if open, replace fuse. Some brands will also have a thermal cut-off fuse in the incoming voltage line to the control board. Older Maytags and Samsungs have this fuse in it. This thermostat looking fuse is usually above the oven cavity somewhere under the outside shell. Sometimes you can get to it through the vent of OTR models. Test with an OHM meter, replace if open.Test too c.breaker and reset+power cord+transformer+capacitor+rectifier HV+Magnetron for open , or faulty. see the diagrams9_25_2012_3_47_20_pm.jpg9_25_2012_3_47_37_pm.gif9_25_2012_3_54_54_pm.jpg

Hi,

There is a fuse located inside the unit. This takes special tools to get inside due to high voltage. I recommend calling a tech out to repair a microwave.

Consumer Product Safety Commission Electrocution Hazard with Do-It-Yourself Repairs of Microwave OvensCPSC Document #5061
The U. S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) warns against do-it-yourself repairs of microwave ovens. Each year, on average, four people die from electrocution trying to repair their microwave ovens. Microwave ovens use high voltage which makes it particularly hazardous for consumers to remove the cover and touch electrical parts. The possibility for electrical shock from a microwave oven still exists even after the oven is disconnected from the power source. Should certain internal devices fail, even unplugged ovens can cause serious injury.

The Commission strongly recommends that consumers have professionals repair microwave ovens because electrical appliances can be hazardous if consumers expose live electrical parts.

CANT START MY SYLVANIA MICROWAVE MOD P70D20AL-D5

Yeah, same old American name on a foreign product. Even try to find a representative in the USA? Seems this is caused by the connector on the timer board. The cable connection is to blame. Too much heat and humidity on the connector.

Second oven with the same problem

Quite often this is due to grease or food particles stuck to the inside of the oven or stuck on or behind the waveguide cover.

The waveguide cover (also called a spatter shield) is usually about the size of a playing card and often held in place by a plastic rivet.

In some models it is a larger stirrer cover type made of thicker plastic in the ceiling of the oven.

It can be fragile, and the metal edges of the oven behind it can be sharp, so be careful!

The cover and the metal behind it should be cleaned with a mild, non-ammonia cleaner.

If the cavity metal of the oven is chipped or charred, it will have to be sanded smooth and clean and dried thoroughly.

Then you can apply some high-temperature appliance paint, available from places like Wal-Mart, Lowe's or Builder's Square.

If your waveguide cover is burned, it will need to be replaced. It provides important protection for the magnetron.

The best place to order Sharp parts is Tritronics.

No heat

It can be both the heat fuse that gone or your pilot light has gone out, check to see if you see a flame while it is functioning, to do this turn on your dryer and watch in the dark so that you can actually see the flame coming on and off or check behind the little door that houses the pilot light to see if you see a flame if no flame relight, this should start your dryer producing heat again
