Hello Gary Ingram, A lot of heat can quickly damage the seals ... just as freezing cold can cause condensation... neither of these will make your watch very happy... Keeping that in mind... Check out both eBay and AMAZON for watch case presses... Decent ones come with varied size clamp fitting that will allow you sufficient pressure around ONLY THE EDGES... thereby guarantying the crystal and back do NOT GET DAMAGED in the PRESSING "process". Better to abuse your watches yourself than to let some battery ROOKIE experiment on it... at your COST (& peril). Failing that... put the watch over a mild heat source ... to get it above BODY TEMPERATURE... Place the back in the FREEZER for about 5 minutes (on a dish)... Get your watch ready on the PRESS (mentioned above)... keeping the watch warm... and the back cold mate the two surfaces and quickly attempt the press... Hope this helps! Try ebay for a watch repair kit. I got one for about $10 a year ago. It pops the watch apart without screwdrivers.

there is a method to do this but it takes a watch maker or jeweller to do the job Take it in and have it adjusted

Lots of older watches needed to have the hands advanced 24 hours to advance the date one day. Fortunately most modern watches require the hands to be wound backwards to advance the date, often at the rate of a day per hour.
