MY GIRLFRIEND HAS A 2000 BUIK REGAL WITH REMOTE

Check your owners guide in the options category. Sometimes there is an option that is temperature related. Example: once outside temp reaches -25deg C the remote start will start the vehicle every 2 hours. Some times there is an on/off switch for this and some times it has to be changed in the programming of the remote start. I have seen them where they are set to start every 30 minutes when it reaches a cretain temp. There sould be somewhere on the module itself where it tells you the brand of remote start, try to find that and check their website or let me know and I might be able to help you further.

It sounds like the bypass module is not bypassing. The next time that you attempt to remote start the vehicle, look at the cluster for a flashing key. If there is a key inside a car flashing...your bypass module is not functioning.

Heat or A/C does not turn on when car is remote

You did not mention the year/make/model but, it sounds like the HVAC wire of the vehicle was not connected during the installation or, the 30 amp fuse that powers the accessory output from the Viper is blown. Did the heat and A/C work before during remote start?

Getting brake on fault from viper remote start

Getting brake on fault? The remote starter/alarm has a brake sutdown wire(brown) and it connects to the switched brake wire of the vehicle. This means that when the remote starter is active, depressing the brake will send 12 volts to the remote starter, shutting the system down. If the brake shutdown wire is seeing 12 volts constantly, the remote starter will never start. Either the brake sutdown wire is connected to the wrong wire at the brake switch or, there is a problem with your brake switch. When there is a faulty brake switch, the switched wire will rest at 12 volts. One sure way to tell is that the brake lights are on constantly (the bulb may have blown by now).

Battery dead.when i try to boast the car alarm

Try manually disarming the system when you hook up the battery cable. After you hook up the cable ( the siren will be going), turn ignition on, press and release valet switch one time. The siren will stop and you will be able to start the vehicle. Test the remote. If the remote is not working, and the battery is good, try reprogramming the remote. Turn ignition on, press and release valet switch one time. Press and HOLD valet switch, press lock button on remote. You will hear a confirmation chirp when the remote is programmed. Turn ignition off. Test system.

I have a Viper car starter and when I got it

It sounds as if the vehicle is not receiving power to the starter. This could be due to a bad connection from the remote starter to the vehicle. That's the simple fix. It could also be due to a malfunction with the bypass module. When spares keys are used for the bypass there can be an issue with malfunctioning in colder weather (especially Ford). If an antenna ring was place around the ignition cylinder, it may have shifted position and there may be a lack of communication with the vehicle's antenna ring. If a data bypass module was used it may not have a good ground while running, chassis ground or a constant 12 volts.

If the status light no longer illuminates when pressing the remote (where it did before), the most common reason is a dead battery. If, after changing the battery, the light still fails to illuminate, the problem may be corrosion on the contact points for the battery or, the buttons are not making contact on the circuit board.

If you installed the sytem, I would suggest checking the wiring has been connected correctly, as the trigger wires for various compnenets in this system have to wired correctly.....as you have battery power, accessory power, and ignition power for your 12v options...so when testing a wire to see iif it has battery power.....it shoudl be done with the key out of the igntion...and so forth.........if you had it installed.......I would take it back to them to see what they say !!!!!

Do you have an anti-theft system on this vehicle? If so, place key in the ignition, turn it to the ON position for exactly 10 minutes. As soon as the anti-theft light turns off, then immediately try and start the suv with the key.
