Generac 5622 GP Series GP5000 6,250 Watt 389cc OHV Portable Gas Powered Gen Questions & Answers
Generac 6500 1988 in R.V.Southwind Two things,
See if there is an oil pressure guage on the dash. When you start the machine it probably has a low oil pressure shutdown which shuts the engine off when you release the start button. This is an interlock. Watch the oil guage and keep the start button engaged until you see oil pressure, release the button and it will continue to run at that point. Your second issue may be a function of the choke. If you are having to choke the engine to start, you may have to play with the choke position to keep from overfueling the unit which may cause it to stall and possibly backfire as it has to much fuel to be burned on the compression stroke, and is igniting occasionally on the intake stroke. Hope this helps. Marvin
Engine starts runs rough, then quits before you can
this is down to fule shortage strip card and all fule pipes clean the tank on off tap and any filters fitted also check all the jets inside the carberetor blow out with comprest air,,,dont go pokeing wire into any jets!! that could wreck the jet, but its all down to fule shortage
On spark
Has it got a low oil sensor? Most hondas have Try putting some more oil in motor
Generac Generator won't stay running
fuel problem, the float in the carborator is stuck, if you tap on the carborator bowl it will probably get freed up.if not take the bowl off and spray the insides with carb. cleaner.
No voltage output
It is possible that your voltage regulator is shot but before purchasing the volt regulator try flashing the fields first and make sure the brushes and rings are clean.
Generator not charging
look where you plug items in for power there should be a little circuit breaker there (a little black button) puss it in you should be ready to go.
Starts runs stops
Owen....sounds like fuel starvation check u have plenty fuel then clean ur fuel filter in line and in tank if u have 1, to check fuel is running ok remove fuel line the end thats connected to carb put in jar to catch fuel if runs ok thats good if slow flow or just dribbling blow through with air line then check again if ok reconnect

Stale Fuel in gas tank
go to any auto parts store and get one of the products they have to remove the gum in the carburator and line. Some of the products are simply poured into the gas tank along with some fresh gas. good luck.

Will one of the newer sensors work in place of my 1457 sensor?
It's possible that one of the newer sensors could work in place of your 1457 sensor, but it depends on the specifications of the newer sensors and the compatibility with your base unit. The I MAX1457 sensor, which is a highly integrated analog-sensor signal processor optimized for piezoresistive sensor calibration and compensation. However, I have no information about its compatibility. If you're looking for a replacement sensor, I suggest contacting the manufacturer of your base unit to inquire about compatible sensors. Alternatively, you can check the user manual of your base unit to see if it lists compatible sensors. Garage door opener sensors are not universal. Safety sensors can only communicate with garage door openers from the same brand.
My LM 30 laser won't start-has brand new batteries
1.Remove the batteries to determine if they have been properly installed in the unit. I know I've messed up installing multiple batteries is a unit. Ck just incase. :)
2.Then the battery unit can be removed 10 seconds to allow the capacitor to discharge and reset the unit.
Wiring diagram for 96 peterbilt 379 volt meter
Here is a possible wiring diagram for the voltmeter on a 1996 Peterbilt 379 with a C15 engine:
- The voltmeter gets power from the battery through a 5A fuse (F2) and a 10A circuit breaker (CB7).
- The voltmeter is grounded through a ground wire (GND) connected to the chassis.
- The voltmeter receives the signal from the alternator through a wire (ALT) connected to the alternator "sense" terminal.
- The voltmeter also receives a signal from the ignition switch through a wire (IGN) connected to the ignition switch "ACC" terminal.
Here is a possible wiring diagram based on this description:
Battery positive (+) ---[F2]---[CB7]--- Voltmeter (+) ' ' Battery ground (-) -------------[GND]--- Voltmeter (-) ' ' Alternator "sense" terminal ---[ALT]--- Voltmeter signal input ' ' Ignition switch "ACC" terminal ---[IGN]--- Voltmeter signal input
Note: This is just a possible wiring diagram and may not reflect the exact wiring configuration in your specific vehicle. It is always recommended to consult the wiring diagram provided in the vehicle's service manual or consult a qualified mechanic or electrician for assistance.
