Logitech sells several different wireless mice types. Some connect to Bluetooth only. Some connect with a specific USB wireless transmitter/receiver. The dongle is small enough to fit inside the mouse's battery compartment or stay in a USB port when the laptop is moved. (Older Logitech devices used the Unifying USB wi-fi adapter; new ones use the Bolt adapter.) A few models can be used with both Bluetooth and one of the wireless adapters.
