I HAVE BY MISTAKE DELETED

First take the memory card out of the camera. Pictures that have been deleted are probably still there, but will be overwritten if you take any more pictures on top of them.

Your camera is not able to undelete pictures, but there are programs for doing this on a computer. You can put the memory card into a card reader attached to a computer, and use an undelete program to recover the deleted files. Undelete programs are available for free download from the internet, try the one at THIS LINK

If the pictures are very important to you, you might want to seek help from an experienced person.

My Pentax Optio E10

Hi,

Click on :-

http://www.retrevo.com/support/Pentax-E10-Digital-Cameras-manual/id/200ci856/t/2/

Click on download the link. You would be directed to a new page. Then, opt for option 2. Enter the verification string and click on download. Once clicked, there would be a pop up. Save the file on desktop. You would need acrobat reader to view the file.

That would be the user manual to check all the settings.

However, what i assume here, is that there is an issue with the camera. No doubt setting could be a problem, but on 80% - it is either defective CCD or LCD panel. Try to play the saved video's or images - If you are unable to view any option, the probability is that it is faulty LCD panel. I am taking into consideration, all other functions such as shutter and flash is working fine. Other probability could be an issue with electronic circuit.Unfortunately, without looking at the camera, i could only mention all the probabilities.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

I need help in connecting

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

Can use the camera comes

You haven't stated which model you have, but on Pentax models "green mode" is an auto-everything mode. You just point the camera, adjust the zoom and the camera chooses everything else. As a result it does not allow access to almost all other functions.

Not all functions are available in all modes: you'll find similar restrictions when using any of the scene modes which your camera is likely to have, but for most of them you'll have fewer restrictions. You get maximum control in manual mode, and a very slightly less in aperture priority mode (the choose the aperture, the camera selects the correct matching shutter speed) and also in shutter priority mode (you choose the shutter speed, the camera selects the correct aperture). Program mode chooses the aperture and shutter speed for you, but allows you to retain full control of everything else and also to adjust the balance between the pre-selected shutter and aperture settings whilst maintaining the same exposure level. These modes are labelled P,A, S, M on those camera function dials which support these modes, your may or may not have them.

I hope that my speedy free reply has been of assistance to you; if so please let me know by taking a moment to rate my answer. If not, please add a comment instead and state your exact camera model and I shall be happy to assist you further.

Have Pentax Optio H90 digital-when

Yes, leave them in. The only reason to take out the memory stick is if you have pictures stored in the camera's internal memory that you want to access instead of those on the stick.

I have a brand new

Make sure you don't have any pics on the internal memory. To be sure, with no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format" and follow the on-screen instructions. Then, insert the card and go into the menu and do the format thing again to erase the card and optimize it. Use the menu and not the format option the camera has been giving you.

I have a Pentax K

Hi Doc.

SD cards different in size use different technology. there are design changes introduced at 2GB and 4GB that makes cameras not compatible with all cards.

When this camera was introduced, it was compatible with cards up to 2GB (fromPENTAX). Using super SanDisk cards it can even manage a 4GB card, but there is absolutely no way that you can have this camera working with a 8GB or 16GB memory card.

You can use an SD card up to 2GB or an SDHC card up to 4GB if you apply firmware update 102 (here download from Pentax Japan:Software Downloads here global:PENTAX). (Please notice that if irmware update is done incorrectly it may damage the camera, do it at own risk-later model of this camera were sold with new firmware)

Here compatible cards:
standard firmware:
PENTAX K100D Super Sandisk 2GB SD Memory Card

firmware 102 installed:NEW - 4GB MEMORY CARD SD

If you repute this solution helpful, please do not forget to accept. Writing our answers and researching takes time, your feedback is important for us.

Regards.

Ginko.

While in Aruba (91 degrees

It certainly could be condensation. When it dried, it could have left a mark on the panel. As long as your pics turn out well, don't worry about it. If you try to take the panel off to clean it and you don't know what you're doing, you could cause major problems. However, if you're determined to do so, there are plenty of sites on Google that can show you the procedure in pictures.

Pros never use the camera for downloading. They always use a separate card reader....then you don't need a software disc. This one is only $13 at Walmart. b0d8508.jpg
