It appears that your walkman is still turning on. When you connect it to your computer, check windows media player and look if it recognizes your walkman. If it is not recognized. look it up from windows explorer as a removable device, and take it from there.

Try and reset the player by inserting a pointed object inside the small hole, press and hold for 5-10 seconds to let the player reset. If this doesn't work then connect the player with the computer and let it charge for a while. Now go to control panel-> administrative tools-> computer management/system management-> storage, check if you are able to see the mp3 player here. If it is visible then try a reset and try again. If not then reset the player while it is connected with the system. This will resolve your issue.

Hi the best place and cheapest place is the well known auction site failing that most phone shops will sell them and also stores like maplin if you have one or radio shack if you have any of these stores.

Player acts as though it
On the back of the player is a very small hole. You can press the end of a paper clip into the hole and "Reset" the player. Try this ck out the sony web site for a update for your model.
Screen only flashes when I
Model number in question shows it is Sony NWZ-E436F mp3 player and symptom shows it needs firmware update to fix the problem.
You need to contact nearest Sony service center as they only have firmware update file.

First, you should check if the 'hold' button is in the on position, if it is then turn it down then turn the device on. If not, try and charge it until the battery says full.
If nothing works, you'll have to send it in for repairs or get a new one.
My computer do not recognize the usb of the MP3?
1) Try using another free USB port on your computer - preferrably one in the back (if it's a PC).
2) Use another USB cable (if applicable).
3) Make sure all chipset drivers are correctly installed. Take a look at the Device Manager and make sure there are no yellow question marks, yellow exclamation marks or red X....

Just search for sites that you can download videos using them.
like : keepvid..
convert the FLV video using other softwares or you may sites that do it online and you dont need to download any software..

If by "downloading youtube", you mean connecting to the internet and streaming live media from Youtube, that is not possible on this model. On the other hand, you
can download Youtube videos on your computer and play them on your walkman. To do this, remember to convert them into .mp4 and decrease the resolution to 320x240 pixels - maybe using free programs like Videora

It won't play my music
Charge the Walkman fully. To charge the battery of the Walkman fully keep it plugged in to the Computer for 4 hours.
Reset the Walkman by pressing the RESET button that is located at the bottom.
You can use any sharp pointed object to press the reset button.
If the issue still persists, then you may format the Walkman only using the FORMAT option in it.
Then transfer the audio files to the Walkman and check whether it works.
Make sure that you transfer the audio files that are supported by the Walkman.
