hi douglas if i got you right i think you want to access the phone using a computer with a usb cable you need to unlock the phone so that the computer can gain access for security reasons best regards :)

i have a sumsung sgh-s730m and to turn off the fdn i opened the phone to the key pad them hit the little button with the three lines on the actual phone went into settings and turned off the fdn fixed diailing numbers by clicking on managing it and then entered my pin2 number and disabled it hope it helps

You need the USB cable in order for you to get the themes from your computer. If your computer has a bluetooth functionality, you can transfer it as well using that option.

take out the card, put in card reader/or slot if you computer has, connect to computer and open.
right click and then format.
