Please download and Run the BIOS update utility for resolve this issue. You can download it from the link below.

If the problem still persist, reboot the Computer and keep tapping the F2 key when VAIO logo appears on the screen to enter BIOS mode. You can manually disable the function System and BIOS Shadowing. This will resolve the issue.

If you want to open a pdf files then you can you Adobe reader or Foxit reader which are both freeware.

Adobe acrobat 8.0 is not a freeware and you need to buy the license key in order to installed the software and activate it.Do consider buying if you want to use adobe acrobat.

you may just need to reseat the cables. basically all you have to do is take the keyboard bezel off of the laptop and disconnect and reconnect the cables on the lcd. you usually do not need to unscrew anything but a pick would help. Just simply pry it off using a pick or small flathead

First thing I would try is go into Device Manager and uninstall this device, then in Device manager choose action>scan for new hardware.
If that doesn't do it go to manufacturer web site and look for the latest driver and in stall it.
