i came across this issue a couple weeks ago and was able to overcome it by booting to a Hirens 15.2 boot disk and writing a New Boot Sector. However if this is not an option you can try a couple other ways to remedy this. : are you using windows? :what Version of what operating system?

I'm assuming you mean the PEMDAS rule. 2 - 2 * 2 + 2 = 2 - 4 + 2 =-2 + 2 =0 The answer is 0.

there is one jumper set on motherboard. Remove it and set again at same place..that clears all password set to bios as well as OS..(if you dint find that specific.. remove all jumpers n plug in properly back

You can remove or change the Window's User or administrator's password. You need access to a computer with Internet access to download the Hiren's Boot CD and burn it onto a CD. Then insert this CD into the laptop/computer and boot up the laptop/computer with the Hiren's CD and follow the instructions. There are very useful utilities CD and it a Linux boot CD which contains quite a lot of Utility programs including a password removal program. Assuming no BIOS is displayed

• Memory could be bad
• Motherboard could be bad
• Backlight could be bad
• Inverter could be bad
• Screen could be bad

Pull the memory modules out and boot the computer if it makes it to BIOS and then beeps at you one or more of the memory modules are bad, replace one at a time if you have more and test until it breaks again then you know which to replace.To Test the inverter and backlight hook up an external monitor and boot the computer. If it displays correctly on the monitor then you've narrowed it down to a bad screen, inverter or backlight. Backlights don't usually go out.Remove the monitor and boot the computer. Shine a flashlight on the screen and look for a very faint image of what should be displayed. If you see one I'd start by replacing the inverter. If you don't see one the screen is bad.If none of this worked then replace the motherboard.

Can you give more details to this one? What you see, hear or feel?

If your external monitor isn't working, it may be your graphics. You could open the case and search for loose connections or components. It's difficult to say without opening the laptop. Your specs say you have integrated graphics. What kind of noises? Is it coming from the HDD? the DVD rom?

It's most likely your ram... but it could be that your laptop fan was not working properly and you had processor issues, then the processor gave out... was your laptop running slow before this issue happened... Also did you receive blue screen error messages? One other thing would your laptop just shut down? If any one of these things happened either one could be your issue... If you could give me more symptoms, that would help a lot.

most compters Bios's (basic in out system) i sstored on a chip called PROM (programmable read-only memmory) now this chip is able to be probgrammed only throught its own system. however if this is a desktop ther might be a good chance that on the motherboard (the backbone of your computer, every thing i sconnected to it) that ther mnight be a pin that you could short out to clear the bios. this would be marked "clr_bios" or some sort of combo that would indicate a restoration of the bios or the password. please be carfule inside your computer as the oils on your han dcan very easily damage the chip, so can electrostatic discarge to the computer. fyi ( when you get shocked by toching a dornob or some one else your transfering well over 30,000 volts and 15 volts can destroy a chip on a computer. oh and you manual that came with the compuetr shoudl have instruction to clear the password. now for laptops there is a slim to none chance that you can get that passwor cleared. they are hack triks that i will not advise as they have a god chance at breakign th omputer. if you need further assistance you can contact me at [email protected]

if you cant remember the bios password then whatevere you do dont use any program that will kill the password. If you do try them when you reboot your laptop will no longer start and the only remedy is to desolder the bios chip and fit a new one, in fact thats basically your only option, if they are available, you will find them on ebay

You can get a USB cooling fan for laptop that will help with overheating.

It seems something in your Ferrari giving problem. (hardware).
You can start checking with the HDD.
Go to BIOS and run the HDD self test, If it passed you can run the memory test.
I am sure one part from these two is faulty.

If it's the external switch that's broken then you'll likely have to disassemble your laptop to flick on the internal switch. If the internal switch is the broken one, then you'll still have to take apart your laptop and replace the broken one. You can probably order a new switch from Acer or you can check ebay to see if anyone is selling a Bluetooth switch for your model of computer. Be sure that you know what you're doing if you're going to do the repair yourself - there are alot of little parts and screws that you are going to have to remember how to put back in their proper place in the end. Another solution to your problem would be to buy a USB Bluetooth adapter. That way you don't have to pay alot to have your Bluetooth repaired.

You don't get any picture at all? is your laptop still covered by warranty?

Try connecting a external monitor to the laptop in the connectors it has on the back or on the side.

Do you get picture on the external monitor?

If you don't get picture on the external monitor either, and you don't hear windows starting up sounds. Then the laptop is not turning on at all, Very likely video adapter failure, if you are on warranty give your dealer or acer a call to get the laptop repaired.

Few things you can try at home, unplug and take battery out. open up the memory cover in the bottom of the laptop, take both memory modules out from the laptop, now with no memory plug in the power adapter and try starting up, wait 1 minute and turn the laptop off, now place one of the memory modules back into the laptop and try starting up again, remember to unplug the power when your connecting or disconnecting parts from the laptop.

Does the laptop start up? If not, then take the ram module out from the laptop again, this time place it on the other memory slot and try again. If it still doesn't start up repeat the above with the other memory module if you have two.

At this point if your not getting any picture on a external monitor and the laptop is completely dead, its most likely a motherboard or a video adapter failure. contact acer or your dealer for service. if your on warranty the repair is free.
