Averatec 2371 AMD Turion Notebook Questions & Answers
I have an Averatec 2370 notebook with Windows XP
What do you mean by "back to the factory settings"?
If you want the laptop back to when you first bought it then you need to format the hard disk and do a fresh Windows install plus install the device drivers for your laptop.
HOw do I take out old keyboard Averatec 2300
With a flathead screwdriver around the left-top top-left top-center top-right and right-top you will see a 1mm thin plastic bar. Simply push all of them in and the keyboard comes straight out. To put it back in simply put the keyboard wire into its slot and then push the keyboard down with minimal force so it will snap back into place. A bit late but for the future!
Computer does not turn on when I press the power button
do u have the power adapter plugged in, or are you using battery power? the first thing i would try is disconnecting the battery. just compleatly remove it and set it aside. then try starting it with the adapter plugged in. sometimes the batteries go bad and are corrupt. i had this happen to a compaq laptop a few years back. after i got rid of the battery it worked fine. if it works u can always buy a new battery.
Averatec 6200 motherbord specifications ? Compatible procesor upgrade with SSE 2 thanks
The Averatec 6200 laptop was released in 2004 and is powered by an AMD Athlon XP-M 2400+ processor with a clock speed of 1.8 GHz . The motherboard of the Averatec 6200 is based on the SiS741 chipset. The laptop comes with 512 MB of RAM and a 60 GB hard drive . The laptop's display is a 15.4 inch, 1280 x 800 (WXGA) screen.
As for the processor upgrade, the Averatec 6200 is compatible with processors that support SSE2 2. SSE2 is an extension of the IA-32 architecture, based on the x86 instruction set. Therefore, only x86 processors can include SSE2. The AMD64 architecture supports the IA-32 as a compatibility mode and includes the SSE2 in its specification. This means virtually every modern Intel and AMD CPU supports SSE.

Averatec e1200 laptop i think it caught a virus
Hold the delete button when you turn it on and see if it loads BIOS up. If the screen displays the BIOS OK then you can change the boot sequence to CD/DVD or USB first and do a fresh windows installation. You could also try holding F8 at bootup and try loading safe mode. If this doesn't help it could be a problem with your screen or the wiring going to the screen. Possibly also a problem with the graphics card.
