The elantech settings have a box you can check to disable the pad while typing. Uncheck the box if it is checked.

The keyboard takes a lot of abuse and as durable as it is, they will eventually wear out. It is a very inexpensive part to replace and does not require a lot of skill. The fact that the touch pad is acting up could indicate that they are interconnected. I would replace both. The Touch pad is a more involved part to replace and I would suggest you get some help or pay to have it replaced.

Go to Control Panel, Sounds, Change Sounds.

This may be a problem with the TCP(tape carrier package) board on the back side of LCD panel or the data cable(ribbon cable ) to the LCD. You need to open the screen covers and in some case need to open the base covers to work with this problem. TCP fault success rate is low as that is a sensitive area. If this is the case better change the LCD screen and cable showing fault can easily be repaired ir replaced. Hope this helps

Music? To change sounds, Look in the Tasbar Notification Area, right click on the sound device open sounds, or, open Control Panel> Sounds.

A lot of times there is an additional switch to turn on bluetooth. If you don't see the bluetooth logo illuminated blue on your laptop then it's probably not on. Look around for it. It also may be a function key. Ie hold the function key and hit the F key associated with bluetooth. you can see the logo here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluetooth

Try turning off the laptop, unplugging it, pulling out the battery and holding power down for 30-60 seconds. After that's done, put the battery back in, plug it back in, and turn it on.

You should be able to access brightness settings from the display or power options in your control panel. there you can set the screen display and make it on highest brightness setting permanenlty so it does not dimm when unplugged from the charger.
