Can't get the watch to synchronize
Your battery maybe down in power ie not much longer before it runs flat this seems to cause the problem you descibe ..otherwise it should set as long as you are following the correct procedure from the manual

Wot size battery do I need for a t472 tissot trace
I think that's a SR936Sw or equivalent. That watch has a pop-off back, so its easy enough to access. You'll need a jewelers pincers or something like a sharp pin to extract the battery (Carefully!) as its embedded in the body.
Why Touch does not work after battery replacement?
Was the battery empty in the first place, or was the watch already defect?
Did you put in the correct and a new battery? or perhaps you did put n the old battery?
can you measure the voltage of the batteries, to check?
Just a few questions that came up with me.
How to set moon phase on tissot pr100
for Tissot PR100 Automatic Chronograph with moonphase, minute recorder, hour recorder and seconds subdials, to set the moonphase
there is a sunken button between the chronograph start/stop and the winding crown.
Using a pointed object such as a ballpoint pen, push the sunken pusher gently until the moonphase moves one step, (if you press the pusher completely in, it will also advance the calendar hand, so only press enough to move the moonphase and no more for moonphase adjustment)
