it be to fix it? It is an output shaft seal. Shouldn't be too hard to do depending on your skill level. You will need to have something to pull the seal out, and make sure you put the seal in squarely

...oil from....behind the front sprocket?? if so your chain is TOO tight if this is your problem, replace the output shaft seal and check drive line for abnormal wear before readjusting chain
