The parking brake on 2001 F-150 doesn't hold the truck in place if parked on a hill thought I press the pedal almost to the floor. have your rear brakes checkd and adjusted this should fix it

and the emergency/parking brake as no effect on pedal travel. The emergency/parking brake uses regular drum type shoes working in a small drum inside the rotor and is independant of the service brakes
