a long time. sounds like to me that the headlight relay is sticking, you need to find it and give it a tap when the problem occurs, if the lights go out, you need to replace the relay. hope this helps

replace with new Headlights. How do take out old assembly? you can buff out the head lights instead of replacing them. Get a sheet of 1000 grit sandpaper, 2000 grit sandpaper and some deadlight polish
