Kenwood KDC-215S CD Player "spit back" Questions

...radio and face are working fine but when i put a cd in it just makes a noise and then spits the cd back out, any ideas DOES IT TRY AND SPIN THE CD>? or does it just kinda click and then spit it

cd player no longer reads that a cd is plugged. can I fix that? Try resetting the deck by unhooking the connector. Every deck I have had will reset and spit the cd out when you hook it back up.
