Symphonic SC519DD 19 in. TV/DVD Combo "shuts" Questions

VCR plays 15 seconds, TV shuts off. Same without tape inserted Older model but, used once before breakdown. TV comes on to insert VCR tape, then shuts off after 15 seconds. Same without tape inserted.
