I can't be certain, but it sounds like there may have been a 3-way switch there, or possibly a pair of 2-way switches. Based on my experience, there are only 2 items that are typical to find in that location. One is a porch light switch, the other is an electric entry step control.

They do not exist. Forest River may build three of the same unit side by side at the exact time and everyone of them be wired differently. I worked for a dealership that sold Forest River products exclusively and it was a real night mare at times.

Red river repair I just bought a used fifth wheel from the dealer and when I went into my 2008 wild cat (31thsp) fifth wheel there is a hole in the wall on the left hand side of the front entrance there is signs of a switch of some sort being there and it has 5 wires that are capped off sticking out of the wall 3 white wires a blue wire and a purple wire just trying to figure out what goes there so I can replace it
