Wondering what humming sound behind steps leading to bedroom might be in a 2009 Jayco Eagle fifth wheel trailer when plugged into 110 but not heard when on battery power.
What lies behind panel of storage compartment that backs up to stairs leading up to bedroom?

SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE A SHORT SOMEWHERE, TO ISOLATE A SHORT. DISCONNECT THE GROUND CABLE OFF THE BATTERY POST. NEXT TAKE A MULTI METER AND FROM THE FUSE BOX WITH THE IGNITION OFF, TOUCH THE SMALL METAL TABS ON TOP OF EVERY FUSE. YOU HAVE TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE MULTI METER GROUNDED (IF MEMORY SERVES ME RIGHT). THE FUSE THE LIGHTS UP IS THE COMPONENT THAT HAS A SHORT. USUALLY THIS IS CAUSED BY CORRODED WIRES OR A FAULTY TRAILER PLUG. GOOD LUCK.

Metal tore on the fifth wheel hitch itself, or from the truck bed attach brackets. ... here's a few pics notice kingpin pushing up on trailer nose cone ...
I don't have that model, but usually they are located behind a vent cover along the bottom of one of the cabinets or on the base of the bed. Usually there is a slot to open it with a screwdriver and then the vent tilts down giving you access to the circuit breaker and fuses.
