My RV Monitor WDRV-3007M keeps going on and off all the time?

Question edited for clarity. Question moved to RVs. Normally they are wired so they only work when you are in reverse. Check the wiring for bad connections. I am guessing the wiring in under the RV zip tied or glued to the chassis with adhesive putty. The RV Forum seems to have the answer https://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/25043162/print/true.cfm Posted By: camers on 05/07/11 09:17pm Several of us Weldex owners had the same problem, changing monitors, rear cameras, and ground wires did not fix the problem. Finally, someone said to cut off the camera connectors at the rear camera and solder the wires together. It's been almost two years now and the camera has worked flawlessly. I agree totally with this post! Send Tim an e-mail and he is right on it! Posted By: Buck62 on 05/08/11 08:26am The Weldex B/W model WDRV-3007M has been obsoleted. When mine went out I called Weldex support and was told that the circuit board solders just did not stand up to the jarring of road travel. He recommended that I first replace the connectors at each end after cutting off approximately 8-12" of the cable since sometimes there is a short in the cables due to flexing. If this did not work I should upgrade to their color LCD replacement system. I called Tim at RVCams.com and he recommended the Weldex color LCD replacement since it used the same wiring and was a exact size replacement with the special mounting bracket. I have had mine for several years now and it has functioned perfectly. https://www.google.com/search?q=wdrv-3007m ..

I'm working on 1989 Georgie boy had problem getting it to come out of park and starting when i got it to start and switch gears they were all in reverse

Experiencing difficulties getting the vehicle out of park, starting the engine, and having all gears appear to be in reverse can be indicative of a few potential issues. Here are some common causes and steps you can take to diagnose and possibly resolve the problem:
  1. Brake Light Switch: The most common cause of not being able to shift out of park is a faulty brake light switch. This switch is connected to the brake pedal and needs to be engaged to release the shift lock mechanism. If the brake light switch is malfunctioning or misaligned, it may prevent you from shifting out of park. Check if your brake lights are working when you press the brake pedal; if they are not, it's likely the brake light switch that needs replacement.
  2. Transmission Linkage or Cable Issue: If the gear selector is not accurately engaging the transmission, it may cause the transmission to stay in reverse even if you've shifted to another gear. Inspect the transmission linkage or cable that connects the gear selector to the transmission to ensure it's properly adjusted and not damaged.
  3. Transmission Shift Solenoid Problem: Modern vehicles use shift solenoids to control gear shifting in the transmission. A faulty shift solenoid could result in incorrect gear engagement. Have a mechanic perform a diagnostic scan to check for any transmission-related error codes.
  4. Low Transmission Fluid Level: Low transmission fluid can lead to improper gear engagement and cause the transmission to stay in reverse. Check the transmission fluid level and condition. If it's low or shows signs of contamination, refill or replace the fluid as needed.
  5. Ignition Switch or Neutral Safety Switch Issue: Problems with the ignition switch or the neutral safety switch can affect the starting process and may also impact the transmission's shifting behavior. A professional mechanic can test these components to determine if they are causing the issues.
  6. Electrical Issues: Faulty wiring, connectors, or sensors in the transmission or related systems could contribute to the problems you're experiencing. Have an electrical system checkup to identify and address any potential electrical problems.
Due to the complexity of the issue and the potential safety risks associated with transmission problems, it's recommended to have a qualified mechanic inspect and diagnose the vehicle. They can use specialized tools and experience to pinpoint the exact cause of the issues and provide the appropriate repairs or adjustments. Trying to diagnose or fix transmission-related problems without proper knowledge and equipment can lead to further damage and costly repairs.

2006 5th.wheeler wildcat.. the over head lights in the one and only slid out. Which is dining table an couch. Both have no power

If the overhead lights in the slide-out of your 2006 Wildcat fifth wheel trailer have lost power, there could be a few potential causes for this issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem:
  1. Check the Circuit Breakers and Fuses: Start by inspecting the circuit breakers and fuses in the RV's electrical panel. Look for any tripped breakers or blown fuses that may be responsible for cutting off power to the lights in the slide-out area. If you find any, reset the breakers or replace the fuses with ones of the same rating.
  2. Inspect the Slide-Out Wiring Connections: The slide-out extension and retraction may cause wires to become loose or disconnected over time. Carefully access the area behind the slide-out, where the wiring for the overhead lights is located. Check for any loose, damaged, or disconnected wires. Reconnect any loose wires securely.
  3. Check the Slide-Out Switches: There may be separate switches or controls for the slide-out mechanism and the overhead lights. Make sure the slide-out is fully extended or retracted, depending on the current position, as some lights may only receive power in a certain slide position. Verify that the slide-out switches are in the correct position.
  4. Inspect the Slide-Out Wiring Harness: The slide-out itself may have a wiring harness that connects to the RV's electrical system. Examine this harness for any visible damage, wear, or signs of wear. If you notice any issues, repair or replace the affected parts as necessary.
  5. Test the Lights with a Voltage Tester: Using a voltage tester, check for the presence of voltage at the light fixtures and along the wiring path. This will help you identify if there is a break in the electrical circuit or if the issue lies with the light fixtures themselves.
  6. Replace Faulty Light Fixtures: If you determine that the overhead light fixtures are the source of the problem, they may need to be replaced. Check for loose or corroded connections in the light fixtures and consider installing new ones if necessary.
If you have gone through these troubleshooting steps and still haven't resolved the issue, it may be best to consult a professional RV technician. Electrical issues can be complex, and a qualified technician will have the expertise and tools to diagnose and repair the problem accurately. Remember to exercise caution when working with electrical systems and disconnect the RV from the power source before performing any repairs or inspections.

Dometic AC compressor won't shut off after travel trailer gets cooled to the correct temperature.

Most likely the compressor is controlled by a relay. The relay can become stuck on and would need to be replaced. I would try removing the power source before spending any more money.
