To work on an ET2 engine, there in no need to remove the body parts on a 2005 ET2 Vespa 50cc, as most maintenance tasks it can be performed without disassembling the body parts.

moved you vespa, no Shanghia here. you wired it wrong, and not only that fuses left out of cicuits. fuel + wires burning is never safe to mix so find real help in a real shop. for scooters.

Question edited for clarity. Question moved from Cars and Trucks to an e-bike category. The bike carries a lot of weight in batteries. It would be rude to ask what you weight, but it could seriously affect performance especially uphill. The bike has 4 x 12 volt batteries making it run on 48 volts. The standard batteries are rated at 8 amps. To get more pulling power, you can get an uprated 12 amp battery for more power and longer range. The manual states the batteries have a life of about 400-500 charges. I think this is optimistic.

There are many reasons that lead to no start. weak/dead battery, no fuel, blocking intake or exhaust, loose spark plug wire. You could check these parts and find the corresponding solutions. If you have interest in vespa sprint, feel free to chat with me.

Start by removing the plastic "vanity" cover (if equipped) and the air cleaner assembly from the top of the engine. Then remove the ignition coil or boot. Use a torque wrench to unscrew the plug and install the new plug. Finally , you should lubricate the spark plug boot and button it up. Find the most useful knowledge about vespa.

A weak spark could cause this as when the throttle is opened the cylinder pressure rises sharply, the atmosphere inside becomes very dense and a much higher voltage is needed to make a spark. If it is fuel starvation then partially applying the cold start, choke or strangler should alleviate the problem somewhat; signalling you missed something when checking the fuel system.

It may be a plug for recharging the battery with a trickle charger.

If the timing belt broke the engine would stop dead. If it was a alternator belt, the charge light would come on.

It sounds like the car went into limp mode for some reason. Need to pull codes to learn more.

moved you out of computers, it is not. no eBike stated, maker nor model, wow, must we work blind too.? sure in a text box blind. no question stated, only some vague words. you do know it's battery powered, right and if not kept charged it will not GO. and if charged too little , range is less. ! and all batteries have short lives, per this. and the range will decrease as you drive further, to far. the battery maker even has chart to learn this. as you stress any battery like this , the total range reduces. Just like your CELL phone same thing.

most probably the fuel gauge sensor is faulty. You'll have to check the wiring connectors under the cover of the fuel gauge sensor under the seat. (disconnect the plugs, clean them with a brass brush and spray some WD-40 on it) if that does not help you need to replace the complete sensor.

voltage over battery using a voltage tester should go max 15 v when you rev the engine..

mix 50:1 or check fuel level. dump fuel try again

check under the seat where the luggage compartment storage is

That is great price for the 2008.......The money You will save, by buying the 2008 will easily cover any problems that may arise......Vespas have a very high resale value.....I recommend an authorized Vespa dealer to perform any and all sevices to maintain the resale value.........
