I have a john deere 2025r need to adjust brakes how do u do it

I found your owner's manual but it doesn't state how to adjust the brakes. You have a brake rod connected to your brake lever,it has a adjuster nut on it that you need to adjust for your brakes to tighten up to make it stop.John Deere is real secretive on how to do repairs.Just follow brake lever where you push brakes with your foot and you will find, will have two nuts, one adjustes and the others locks it in.You will need two wrenches to do this.

Why wont a97 f350 parking brake adjust when backing up and applying brakes

self adjusting action of the brakes only applies to the foot brake action for the shoes. hand brake is adjusted by cable adjustment or cable at the hand brake lever adjustment

Rear brake lever is sticking making my brek lights stay on

It might be just an adjustment for the switch that is connected to the foot brake. There is also a spring that should be pulling up on the lever when you take your foot off of it.

Rear brake lever sticking making my brek lights stay on

Hi, There should be a spring that pulls the lever back up when you remove your foot. It might be missing or broken. You might also have a mal adjusted switch that activates the brake light. it should be located near the pivot bolt for the brake lever. There is also a switch on the front brake lever. That might need adjusting or replacement.

Hydrostatic lawnmower doesn'i want to move

There will not be any actual adjust in the unit, there will be some adjustment in the rods from the hand/foot lever, if you can see the arm moving freely on the unit when you work the foot/hand lever it is probably not a linkage problem, if there is an external brake disc, make sure the brake is not binding, finally somewhere on the unit will be a bypass lever for push mode, make sure this has not been engaged.

K I have a 2003 yamaha wr 250f i have noiced I tend toride with my rear brake on I don't mean to but how do I lower the rear brake lever down becuzi noticed it actually set up higher than the foot peg...

There is some form of adjustment between the foot lever and the mastercylinder. Just undo the locknuts and turn the adjusting rod and watch for the foot lever to lower, if it raises, turn the adjusting rod in the other direction. Don't forget to do the locknuts up when finished. NOTE: one nut is left hand thread and the other in right hand thread. most of the bikes I have ridden have the pedal above the footrest, but that is a personal preference.

Brake light stays on

Hi,

basically, the brake light is activated by either the front or the foot brake. Each has a small switch coupled to either the brake lever or the brake pedal. To check if it is the front brake lever, look closely on the right handlebar area where the front brake lever pivots. There would be a small switch with two (2) wires. Often this wires are connected by a spade type connector, remove any of the the two connector/wire and observe if the brake light would switch off. If yes, shorted front brake switch, if not, then chances are that the culprit is the foot brake. There are variations of designs how the foot brake activates the brake light. Most would call for a linkage (either short cable or metal rod). from the foot brake to a small tubular switch. Try removing any or both wires/connectors to the foot brake switch. If brake light is till one, then problem is elsewhere. If brake light is off, then the foot brake switch needs looking into. Often found faults is mis-adjusted switch. The switch rotates on a threaded tab. The switch has to be adjusted till the brake light powers off. In some cases, the swith has to be replaced.

Just a start, do postback how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.
