There will be a small switch near the side stand pivot, and another micro switch under the clutch lever, they work in conjunction with the neutral light.

Trying to figure out why my 1999 honda cbr 600 want crank..battery is fine!

Hi,
You need to under go several other tests in your Bike's starter system. Did you check if the starter button, when pressed what happens? Do you hear any sound....click click? It could be that the starter might need an overhaul or it could also be the starter solenoid switch that is faulty. Have you tried to rotate the engine by shifting into 3rd gear and see if the engine if free and not sized! It would be better too to check the cranking ability of the battery via a bettery tester wherby it has volts indicator and a load button which would show you if it's ok in power.
Hope this answer helps.

I have a 1999 Honda CBR 600 f4 and recently it won't start while in gear. Before, I could start it while I gear with the clutch lever pulled. Now it only starts while in neutral. Any ideas?

the neutral light, side stand switch and clutch switch are all wired together.
If the neutral light works.then check the side stand cut out works as normal, finally check the micro switch under the clutch lever, it should make a tiny click when the clutch is activated, also check it with a multi meter, follow the wires back to the plug and check the resistance goes from 0 to 1 with the clutch pulled

I've got a '99 cbr 600 fx but its also been refrerred to as f4?? i'm in australia so is there a difference in model name depending on country?

99-00 cbr 600 are in the class F4, while 01-06 are in the class F4i. For Australia, Brazil and Mexico models, the clymer manual only states 1999 Honda cbr 600f. No F4, but it does mention F4 for the U.S. models. I know there are differences between California models and the 49 states model because of stricter emissions laws in Cali. But it does seem as though there is a different in model names depending on countries.

How can i rewire my 99 honda cbr 600 f4 to run on a banchee frame i have it turning over but no hot comin out of ICU to the pick up i have cut out all the kill switches and lights

Cutting the kill switches may not be good for all of them. Like kickstand safety and clutch safety may need to be connected or vice versa. look into that.
