I havr a Crf250r 2007. It is hard to start, and also back fires when it starts, It also back fires wen i slow down. it is reallly hard to start and i just got the valves and top end done. Also wont stay running unless i am on the thorottle? What s wron with it?

Hi! I can only give a suggestion as to slow starting, The starter motor windings have probably been cooked? so when cold seem o.k. but at operating temp expand and the armature receives less power. Have you recently tried starting from cold with a poor battery? if so this is the reason, volts go down Amps go up stewing the windings in the starter motor. Misfire could be due to condensation? is the vehicle Garaged?

have you changed the fuel filter lately a plugged fuel filter will cause this concern
did the power loss start all of a sudden or did you start losing power over time ?
