Older Sithl equipment was lazer etched on to a part of the housing. Newer equipment is marked on a sticker.

I'm not fully familiar with that model however I have found a diagram that may help you. The image is a little small but it may give you an idea of the springs location.

Is the 'cutting head' in a work position and not folded back.? Does the drive shaft spin.? Is the attachment on the shaft properly.?

Does the driveshaft spin.? Is the 'cutting' attachment in a work position? Is the attachment on properly?

Put the ware plate on the support bar.
On top of that install one blade facing up.
Then install the other blade facing down.
Put the bolts up through the support bar
Install the little rubbing blocks on bolts in slots in blades.
Place top stiff plate on top and install nuts.
Replace grease in gear box with stihl hedge trimmer grease onyy

My request from you was for a schematic of assembly for my stihl HS 80 hedge trimmer. You did not send but rather gave general advice. I solved the problem by calling a small engine repair shop and asked them to fax me a photo copy. You all were of no help and appear more to want money via bait and swithch. THUMBS DOWN to you!
