How to remove oil pan on 2003 Yamaha Royal Star Midnight Venture. Changed oil and overtightened the drain plug. I think my oil pan is cracked, as there is a slow oil drip now.

I would suggest that you try putting a new gasket on the drain plug before going much further. It is a lot easier to do that than tearing the engine apart and could possibly be the cause of the oil leak, just don't overtighten it this time.

My Midnight venture 2005 just had carbs rebuilt but the bike still back firers, what could cause this problem?

wrong timing, if it did it when you bought it, shame on you, take it to a certified dealer and let them fix it

Back tire size for 2003 midnight venture and what tire do you recomend

The tire size is 150/90-16, usually "H" rated; Yamaha recommends the Dunlop D404 or the Bridgestone G702. I've had tire life issues with the Bridgestones and just installed Michelin Commanders front and rear - they, and the Dunlop Elite 3's, came highly recommended by Venture riders I've met in the Southwest. I don't have much mileage on the Michelins, so I'm just passing along the results of my inquiries.
