Hi,
On some Kawasaki models, there is a circuit board underneath the fuse holder where some of the solder would require re-soldering. There would also be small relays for ignition interlock (neutral, sidestand, clutch and others) that would require contact cleaning. These interlocks provide the conditional switching of the IGN B+12 to the CDI. If you have confirmed that all the wires to the battery, the starting solenoid are connected, then this might be worth the effort of looking into.
Alternately, if when the battery was removed, the starting solenoid connector was also removed, it is likely that the big terminals of the starting solenoid were wired wrong. Please confirm that the terminal marked "S" goes to the starting motor and the terminal marked "B" goes to the battery's B + terminal.
Just a start, do postback how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

Tubed tire, right? COULD be a flat spot but my gut tells me the tire isn't mounted correctly. My guess is that if you look at the sidewall of the tire next to the rim on one side or the other, you'll notice that the rubber edge that sits just outside the rim isn't consistent around the entire rim because they didn't seat the bead properly. Typically all you have to do is let some air out and resituate the tire on the rim a little and keep an eye on it as you inflate it. You can overinflate the tire to around 50 to 60 PSI to help it seat correctly on the rim but be sure to reduce the air pressure--you don't want to leave it like that. The other thing it could be if it's doing this at high speeds only is that the wheel is severely out of balance, in which case you would need to take the wheel off the bike and balance it, but my gut still says it's the way the tire was installed on the bike. For those of you looking for the procedure for changing a tire and/or balancing a wheel, this is a pretty good step-by-step guide: http://www.clarity.net/~adam/tire-changing-doc.html

If you are not getting the starter to wind after pressing the start switch check these probs.Have you checked the fuses for the ignition switch? Check all fuses. Track the wiring from switch and check all plugs and connections.
Turn ignition on and try clutch starting the bike to see if the motor will run once it is cranked over.
If you need to bump it, make sure all your connections and wiring are all making good contact.
You must conduct a process of ilimination in order to rectify the fault.
good luck.

useing a multimeter set to d.c check your charge at the battery whith out the motor running it should read above 12 volts determine the voltage stored in the battery with the meter stil conected hit the start button if the meter shows a dramatic drop in voltage its almost certain that the battery is shot howevwer if the voltage does not drop & it wont start bump start it conect the meter still set on dc increase the revs asyou do this the voltage should climb to 13.50 if it does & maintains 13.50 to 13.65 the chargeing system can be declared ok & you only need replace the battery however if it goes above 14 volts the voltage regulator is faulty & cooking the battery so you will need to replace both
