1) Is the choke stuck on? Solution: spray carb with WD40 and make sure it moves freely when you pull the choke on and off.
2) are you using the correct 2T oil? It may be that it is pumping too much oil through. TIP: Take out plug and look at colour. if it is brown/tan it is ok. if it is white then there is not enough fuel going in. if it is black and sooty then there is too much fuel (choke stuck on) if it is black and oily wet there is too much oil (adjust the oil pump as per handbook)
3) Could be ready for a decoke. How many miles has it done? Solution: REDEX teaspoon down spark plug hole, turn engine on kickstart with ignition turned OFF. Wait a few mins and start up bike as usual,a few revs should chuck out loads of smoke and clear its guts out.

My mini moto dirt bike has a brand new engine in it, the bike will start and tick over for a short while then when you rev it, it cuts out can anyone help?

Check the spark plug first, for carbon, wet. For the time being, use one step hotter plug to guard against fouling. 2 smoke motors when run at lower speeds tend to be easier to foul a plug.

I have a rxs but it back fires and stops power at 35/40 mph

With the rattle, i would true the crank. Was there ever an abrupt stop (chain came off and wedged, locked up back tire, etc)? That would indicate crank.

If it had points i'd say they were floating.

Sometimes a plugged exhaust will limit power at a certain rpm, but not explain the rattle (i'm imagining vibration, but it could be something benign). Good luck.

2006 yamaha waverunner wont idle

what is it idle at? how much? remove your seat check air filter if is black oily remove it and see if that fixes your problem you may want to change your spark plugs as well # one cylinder may be starting to foul the new yamahas are the worst for fouling plugs use a cr8eb instead of the cr9eb the 8s are hotter and work better try those and let me know thank you
