I had my 2008 speedster tuned up after a long winters sleep. it came home, (via tow truck, i was out of town) but i tired to start it up, it would only splutter, not grab when i tried to turn it on... after 4 tries, all i got was the sound of the bike going through it's diagnostic routine and a "click"... i took it back to the shop... they said there was build up of solenoid, they fixed it, started it up every day while i was away... and i had it shipped home again (this time i had a sprained wrist... bad luck) but the exact same issue came up, and it appears that the battery has drained no it ain't the battery: it is new there doesn't seem to be any loose wires touching the frame (thus the power drain) any tips?

Your starter isn't getting enough power. Try checking your water levels in the battery and charging it with a trickle charger. Good Luck!

SOURCE: battery keeps draining &will not start ,4weeks

Remove the positive cable from the battery and check the continuity from the loose cable end to the chassis or motor. There should be no continuity with the switch turned off. If you don't have a volt/ohm meter (multi-meter) to test for continuity, try touching the loose battery cable-end to the empty battery post. If there is a spark, a short somewhere is draining your battery. If there is no continuity the most likely thing is that your voltage regulator isn't working or you are not getting voltage generated, causing the battery to run down. The tests I mentioned are assuming that you don't have a clock or something else that are constantly on. If you do have a meter, you should be getting a reading of 14 volts, more or less, between the plus and minus terminals of the battery with the motor running.

Don't carry un-nessesary weight ( Leave the Mother in Law at home) Make sure the car is well tuned. Be sure the air is correct in the tires. Put a wind deflector on if possible. Also a rear spoiler. They both work to deflect wind The list goes on however bottom line, right air in the tires tuned and no aggressive speeding.Your in thats it Swith to another vehicle for better milage and maybe not lose any options!!

Well...my ball park guess on this is just a tune up. The engine light is usually showing a misfire. If the plugs are bad then the cylinder is not igniting the fuel and it is flooding out. With what is here this makes sense to me. Let me know what it does turn out to be.

Such tools are available in a variety of qualities from a variety of outlets. Some tools perform a single function and some several functions.

Generally whatever is available on the home market can be sourced cheaper direct from China, usually via ebay, and sometimes they are of identical appearance except for the brand name.

Sourcing one from a trade outlet is probably best as a good discount can sometimes be negotiated without affecting what is a better and quicker warranty.

Allignment and camber go hand in hand. Do both front and back at same time on all wheels. Check the tow in and tow out. Fitted Bakkie tires on mine and is working good. Make of tire is a big factor, High profile give soft ride and last longer, low profile give hard ride and do not last that long.

We took it back to the dealer. They made the necessary adjustments needed after the winter tires +rims were put on.

Changing to winter tires

Sounds like you just need to reset the tire pressure system. It won't hurt to drive. Check your owner's manual on how to reset, or ask your dealer.
