HI,,if you have power going to the coils, and no spark then it is your coils that need replacing.

I have 2000 model zzr1100 it has no spark have replaced ecu box checked coils but still no spark at crank

There are several things that can cause a loss of spark on a ZZR1100. Check the ignition switch, the wiring harness, and the spark plug cables. Make sure the wiring harness is intact and undamaged. Also, check the spark plug gap to make sure it is set correctly. If all of these items are in good condition, then you may need to replace the spark plugs.

Why volvo s60 2002 start and shut off spark after 2 seconds? Does alarm (siren) cause this?

Volvo security systems will cut off power to the starter motor if triggered. Sounds more like you have a bad crankshaft sensor or camshaft sensor. They are what triggers the ECU to turn the coils on and off. Alarm is NOT your problem.

What could cause a1991 suzuki samurai to have no fire from a new coil?

no spark from coil directly?
is the cam turning, is the dizzy rotor spinning. ????

check all fuses first. Ig-coil, FI and dome.
then using diagnostic jumper wire or fuse, (as approp)
crank engine look for code 41 o 42.!!!

USA cars , answers only
our cars are all EFI that year.
no engine swaps to Suzuki G16A/B sidekick or tracker engines.!
1: engine cranks
2: no spark
3: The ECu makes spark
the CMP sensor in the DIzzy , (never fails if rotor turns, does rotor turn, if not cam belt igored and now snapped.)
the cam turns. the CMP fires. the ECU takes this CMP signal
and fires the ignitor next to coil and the coil charges, and release and BAM spark.

that is it.
the ECU will tell you when the CMP dies or the Ignitor fails
why not ask it.
1: key on
2: diagnostic jumper in place (flashes 12s for ok)
3: crank engine,for 5sec, not 1 ,not 2.
3: release key not off.
4: see code 41, or 42, BINGO !@!!!!

Where is igniter lacated on rav 4 1998

98? what engine?
the ignitor can be in 3 places on all cars.
1: fire wall. connects to 1 coil, or 2 coils(WS) or 4 COPS.
2: ECU
3 :inside the COPS.

the ignitor changes the induction (spark) coil.
and can be in any of 3 places.

i log in to alldata dot com, so can you (a USA example ONLY)
it has 2 (4pin( Igniters)
so obvious has wasted spark.
power pin, ground pin and 2 , pins to ECU.

it says, in the finder, ignition coils 1and2 with ignitor
in coil finder, and service, it states
remove throttle body to access coils

RTM
see coils, ? see wire they go to one place, the ignitor
follow the those wires, see igniters.

Suzuki wagon r wont start

all fuses good, using ohm meter tests in hand. or better
12v on both ends of fuse key on?
K12a, 16valves, DOHC, chain cam motor.)
well you are on track, no spark, that be real. huh>
the immo (slang for UK immobilizer) for other readers.
so not TDC codes, but that is not all there is, you can attach
a scan tool and see if you have CMP/CKP sigs, and RPM cranking.
crank for 5 seconds to see if these critical to spark parts are in fact working.
single distrib? (the 2 forms of k12a ) a= real japan engine not china.
new cap, new rotor, , no china rotors that mount backwards allowed.?
do you have schematic of your engine EFI?
you really need that, or finding problems can be very hard.
in usa we have 3 major sources here , all on line, to get that fast.
do you? have that in UK? do you have a suz, dealer? with shop man?
we have mitchells, alldata, and chiltons all on line for this.
we also have the for free in public libs here...
diagnosis. (ill assume its flooding) prevents fire and ring damage.
1: i cut the fuel pump by pulling FP relay.
2: then check spark,,if spark is bad to all 4 spark plugs, that's right 4.
then check spark directly at the COIL, some cars have hidden coil.and can be checked, ask.
if spark is bad at coil, HV terminal. then check for Ignitor drive
pulses. if good then coils is bad. (good input, bad output, bad coil)
if the ignitor is dead, check its input, if input bad , ECU is not
sending inputs. this can happen for only few reasons. in no order.
1: bad ecu
2: no cmp or ckp signals.
3: lost power to ECU, fuses,
IF car has dash tachometer, is it dead, cranking , no 300 rpm cranking?
scan too.
RPM dead. cranking.
no CMP /CKP errors cranking from ECU DTC, ERRORS ON SAME.?
That is how i do this, and never fail.
better is:
1: compression good?
2: spark good and timed
3: good fueling?
you fail #2 (lets work that)

No spark from ignition coil to start the engine of suzuki vitara16v EFI engine. what is the cause of it

what year? what country? sounds like suzuki G16b engine. is it? or 2.0L?
The reasons are the same basically for G16 or the 2.0L
Both engines have ECU.
Both need good fuses to power ECU and coils.
Both engines need working CMP.
my guess is this is a distributor engien G16b (YOU SAND COIL NOT COILS.)
1: fuses, test the fuses relate to ECM/PCM (3 fuses)
CEL LAMP MUST BE ON KEY ON OR ECU HAS NO POWER.
2: g16B( CRANK FOR 5 seconds), with scan tool connected.
A $50 tool that is indispensable.
P0355 or P340 DTC , bingo, no spark.
or while cranking RPM is dead at 0 RPM.
if all that passes, then check the coil signals. (@ minus term)
The coil has an ignitor in the dizzy and both can go bad.
recap.
power 12v to ECU
CMP working
ECu sees CMP and sends spark to dizzy ignitor.
Ignitor , drives coil, coil makes spark ,engine runs.
nut shell

Car won't start even after spraying starter fluid in throutle body. Horn honked while cranking it over two or three times, without touching horn. No spark?

Was the car running ok prior to this no start?Did it start missing or loosed power?
The horn thing is unusual but can be triggered by cars alarm system or ECU fault.
Does car have an alarm?was the battery run flat or changed just prior to this fault?
They both will inhibit spark if alarm locked on or faulty,as for ECU fault.
Depending on the model. They have a coil mounted on the fire wall that does fail.Check for spark at the centre tower with insulated pliers and holding the lead close to a bare metal area of engine area.
Run a test light on +ve side of coil.if it has power to it.it will light.the other side should flash on crank to indicate trigger from distributor.if ok and no output from tower lead, replace coil.
The model described;to access the coil bolts that fall inside panel when loosened, remove the plastic grille below the wipers.
I hope this helps or get back to me with your findings.

1998/9 ford escort LHD factory immobiliser

sounds like your crank position sensor is dead, your wires to the coil will have power but nothing will come out of the coil. The flywheel has a toothed plate fastened to it with one tooth missing, when the missing tooth passes by the crank position sensor , (CPS), it sends a signal to the computer located under your radio in the car and lets the coil know when to fire, if the CPS is bad you will still have power to every single wire in the car, just no fire. Also if it was wired with an alarm system it has an interupter wired into your wiring harness either under the dash or in the engine compartment, it should be pretty easy to spot because it with have cheap connectors and a crappy tape job where it was patched in.
