How do I locate the valves?

Hmmm For the Yamaha yfm225s a parts list and exploded views

The valves are in the top of the engine inside the Cylinder Head.

Valves here .http://www.partzilla.com/parts/search/Yamaha/ATV/1986/MOTO-4+-+YFM225S/VALVE/parts.html

The valves fit inside the Cylinder head shown here.http://images.cmsnl.com/img/partslists/yamaha-yfm225s-1986-cylinder-head_bigyau0288a-5_c208.gif

The valves move up and down indside the valve guide which is number 5 on the above diagram.

use hypoid gear oil for out boards. use 80-90 wieght for heavy truck axle and diffs. use 50 wieght motor oil for light aircraft engines to prevent foaming at high altuides. take a sample of the gear oil you have smell it. gear oil has a distinctive smell, I call it " dead dino" smell. 80/90 wt is a common gear oil for this appication

I just bought a 1986 F250 with a 6.9 Diesel in it. In the morning or when it is cold in general it has trouble starting. I am pretty sure this is a glow plug issue. I intend to replace the glow plugs, glow...

Hi,
I would recommend disconnecting your glow plug relay if you are going to use starting fluid.
With starting fluid in the engine and the glow plugs turn on it may explode the fluid and do head damage. Starting fluid and any kind of ignition source ( hot glow plug ) is like a bomb.
