most carburetors don't have adjustment screws any more. if its not running right, you can buy a carburetor kit and rebuild it. that should put it back to factory condition.
Normally you just replace the primer bulb (syringe) on most carburetors.
As to where buy if its an one off replacement your local lawnmower parts dealer should be able to help you. This is because shipping will out pace the part price.
You need to buy a new intake manifold and buy the propper 4 barrel carbruetor. Try to save yourself some money by buying a carb and intake performance kit from Edelbrock or other local parts stores...
Go to a junkyard and buy the carburetor off another truck. Parts are not generally available for 29 year old carburetors. Then make one good one out of the two old ones and your kit. If it is a you can probably buy a new carburetor from Holley to fit the truck. They are expensive. Good Luck.
It sounds like your needle an seat in the carburetor got a small particle of dirt or rust or something in it all you can do is tap the carburetor with like the handle of a screwdriver or tap the carburetor in a few different places with a rubber or plastic hammer that might fix it for awhile but you will need to buy a carburetor rebuild kit.
