My battery drains and now my alarm ( lights ) keep flashing

Sounds like an after market alarm. If so, take it out or replace it. When I get cars like yours or won't start. If I see an aftermarket system, I tell customers that I won't work on them till this is out of the cars system. 99% of the time, The car works.

ANYTHING ELECTRICAL WILL DRAIN THE BATTERY WHEN THE ENGINE IS OFF.

ALARM SYSTEM USES A 2 WIRE SWITCH ON THE DOOR LOCK TO TELL ALARM DOOR IS OPEN ,ASUMING THAT THE WIRES ARE UN-HOOKED NOW AND YOU ARE HAVING ISSUES ,TRY TIEING THE TWO WIRES TOGETHER AND SEE IF THAT WILL GET YOU BY ,

Maybe you are in valet mode. This will drain your battery.

If a aftermarket alarm then disconnect it ,these auto remote start alarm things are useless and all go wrong with age

I will guess that one possible cause, is your battery is about dead

the flashing blue light is to let potential thieves know that there is an alarm in the car. it uses minimal power and should not drain your battery.

your alarm system has been tripped when the battery went dead, to get the information on how to reset the alarm is to call the car manufacture to get the procedure, and should not cost you anything.

this happened to me recently with my 96 grand cherokee. the battery got drained by the alarm going off randomly at night. i pulled the fuse for the horn so at least my neighbors would only be bothered by flashing lights. then i couldn't jump the car because the alarm was still going off. i hooked my car to jump it to another car, and then i had to deactivate the alarm first by putting my key in the driver side door and unlocking the car. then i left it hooked to another car and still getting power but didn't jump it for at least 5 minutes in case the computer needed to reset. then it jumped fine. from what i've read online, this is a common problem that can be avoided if you stop using the power locks and always manually lock and unlock the doors with your key. its a little annoying, but apparently the power locks are connected to the alarm issue. hope the same works for you.

Kenyanjoe, I have had the same problem with a G638 . the inlet/drain light flashed 30 sec after start up, (the machine must empty on start up, this did not happen), This caused it to lock out on alarm I removed the drain hose from the S trap,removed the non return valve from the filter, check the drain pump impellar is free, then blow down the drain hose back into the dishwasher to make sure it was not blocked then found the drain pipe on the S trap under the sink was restricted causing the machine not to empty in time for the cycle to continue causing it to lockout on inlet/drain alarm. Have a go , good luck. GUNNO
