I recommend powering the truck with a 12 volt supply throught the cig or acc socket with an external supply, be careful not to short the pos. cable when replacing the batt. just disconnecting the battery will reset all systems like radio security and ecm funtions memory

MISFIRE # 1 WHAT SIDE IS IT ON WHICH SIDE IS THE # 1 PLUG ON
The left (drivers) side cylinder head is numbered from front (radiator)
1-3-5-7

The right (passenger) side cylinder head is numbered from front
2-4-6-8

per 2001 Toyota repair manual page EM-103 and 105. The numbers are not on the engine, from what I can see, but the manual is very specific on this info.
