First thing to do is charge the battery and do a load test on it. Use a charger rated for motorcycle batterys not a battery tender. Once the battery is charged and tested, you need to test the stator. On the right front down tube at the bottom you will find the plug that goes from the stator to the voltage regulator. I forget the values that you are looking for but with a multi meter and the bike running take a reading at the plug the voltage should climb when you rev the engine. If you do not get any reading or if the voltage dosen't climb you have a bad stator. If the battery and stator are good it will be your voltage regulator.

Lay underneath the bike on the left side, and look towards the front of the bike, there will be a tube that runs from the back left side of the motor, to the right straight into the side of the frame with a hoseclamp on the end of it. to make sure you have the right rubber line, IT IS THE ONLY LINE WITH A HOSECLAMP ON THE ENTIRE BIKE. loosen the hoseclamp, and then pull the line off the frame (There is a stud welded on the frame, and this hose slides over it, and then the hoseclamp seals it off) This is your drain tube. Make sure the motor is warmed up *(of course) BEFORE you change the oil, let it drain until it's empty. MAKE SURE YOU STAND THE BIKE STRAIGHT UP, OFF THE KICKSTAND FOR ABOUT 15 SECONDS TO MAKE SURE IT ALL DRAINS OUT. Then put it back on the stud, and tighten the hose clamp. Loosen the filter on the front of the motor (it's a spin on car-type) Then replace it, make sure you put a thin film on the gasket of the NEW filter before replacing. It is normal to get oil on the front of the motor, it is unavoidable. it will hold 3 qts with filter.
SOURCE: No spark on my Harley
How are you checking your spark? On the newer computer controlled engines, there is a "compression sensor". If you take the plugs out and try to check for spark like we used to do, you won't get a spark. Put your plugs back in and then use a set of test plugs to check your spark.
If you're still not getting a spark, check for voltage at the primary side of the coil.
Testimonial: "Thank you for the info. I didn't realize that you could test the spark the old way."

If you are looking for an owners manuel the best bet is to buy one at a dealer, there is no screaming eagle package. Harley has never made a CVO Sportster.
