I can buy a Fragram 14" WA-14 bandsaw for R1500, guy says it is in working condition, but needs TLC. What do you think of the price and is parts easily available in the Western Cape?

You probably need bearings for the wheels, new rubber for the wheels (you could true them in a lathe if there is rubber left) and new bearings for the guides. Buying broken equipment is alot like buying work. I bought my Ridgid bandsaw brand new (on clearance) for $200 Can.. The small bearings are not too expensive as long as there is a number on them that you can trace to a manufacturer (specialty bearings can cost you a thousand dollars for a set (eg.Mazak CNC lathe). If a wheel is broken (cracked spokes) you may find out that the parts are hard to get and you need to make (cast and machine) a new one, not very cheap unless you are or know a machinist (friend).Pray for rain, Cape town is to run out of water by the end of April 2018.

Why the rear wheel bearing on a 2000 ford f 150 got broken its new

You need a trained Ford tech to look at this, it is impossible to know what is wrong without seeing the parts in question and doing a detailed inspection.

Can the connecting rod bearings be changed via the oil pan without pulling the engine?

Yes
however as there may/will be a ring ridge at the top of the cylinder any new bearings fitted may make the top ring hit that ridge
if you are replacing just oneset of bearings on one con-rod you may get away with it but it there is a tapping noise after the job it will be the rings hitting the ridge
if left un-attended to , there is the possibilities of broken top rings or broken ring lands on the piston

Will this be expensive to fix or could i t be relatively cheap? Drum wont turn, even by hand. Opened up found broken belt.

you need to strip the dryer to bits and remove the drum
sounds like you need a new bearing and it needs a dam good clean inside some oil etc
the belt has broken because its stuck on one place on the motor

check out the bearings and dust etc

sometimes the bearing has just dried up and can be soaked in petrol or etc then oild for a day

so .. cost = 0 other than a new belt
if you feel you can take it too bits and clean it all then its cheep

Milwaukee 6153-20 grinder is running extremely hot.

Your grinder is either working too hard because of broken or seized bearings or the fan is broken or detached from the armature. Take the brushes out then remove the four screws holding the gear housing on the motor housing. Remove the armature and check the fan and both bearings. If the armature bearings and fan are OK check the bearings and gear teeth in the gear housing.

LOUD noise when in spin cycle. Appears to be in drum assembly.

Hi,
The loud noise is because the shock absorbers that hold the tub are broken. This allows the tub to flop al over the place.
You can get new ones easily by doing a search for"appliance parts" then enter your model number and select the part from the menu.
Check a couple of different sites as it seems that no one site always has the best price.

I hope that this will help you to solve your problem!

Thanks for using Fixya!!
