SOURCE: Oil type choice
First and most important is to use a motorcycle oil..not car oil.they have different additive packages.
Semi synthetic (synthetic blend) is more than adequate..you dont need full synthetic.!!.
I use spectro semi sync 10w40 in both my rsv"s and my triumph and my ducati..never had a problem change every 5000 k,I know loads of hard riders ( as i worked in a few bike shops) who use semi sync spectro for race and road..
Off course there will be experts who will tell you different but you just dont need full synthetic..trust me..

On your instrument panel directly below the rev counter are 5 buttons.
Press and hold button A for approx 5 secs, all the digits will flash
Realease button A
Press button B to change from KMH to MPH
Confirm this is what you want by pressing A for 5 secs
