SOURCE: Grabby clutch in 1st.

I'll bet you replaced the "fiber" plates only in which case you need to either take the steel plated out and have them sand blasted, or preferably "glass beaded", you have a hot spot on one of the plates which is causing the clutch to be "grabby" also not sure if you replaced the clutch springs but if you did and they are after market they may be to high of spring pressure.
Did you install a stock clutch or a after market one? Many times the after market hi-performance clutches are made with aluminum plates and then they add the fiber and the clutch will chatter because the engine HP to to substantial for the aluminum to handle. I highly recommend using the stock Yamaha clutch plates and springs. They are of the highest quality and are the best to use.
Please let me know what type of plates you are running and I'll work from there with you. Also if you cannot get the plates blasted you can take them out and rough them up on your garage floor. Your want to use even pressure and move in a circular motion to scratch them up. Make sure you clean them afterward in mineral spirits. You can buy that at any paint store real cheap.
Good Luck,

SOURCE: ktm 125 sx 08 stuck in 1st gear

You have a bent shift fork and possibly something else going on. The engine will need to come out of the bike. Remove the top end, the flywheel and electrics, the clutch, the shift mechanism and kick starter and a few other parts. THEN you are ready to split the gearbox to get to the crankshaft, gears and shift forks.
You will need an impact driver, flywheel puller, case splitter, torque wrench and factory service manual, plus the normal screwdriver, pliers, etc.. Alternate to the special tools is taking it to the dealer and say "Fix it". I often tell people to take it to the shop just so they don't get into such an involved project and they now have a knowing eye and experienced hands working on the problem.
The repair cost will probably be $800 or so.

A “very helpful” rating for this answer? Thanks!

as per your description problem not clutch since able to start in gear and drive without stall problem sounds more like a fuel delivery not the clutch

2008 toyota Camry manual hard shifting from 1st to 2nd gear

With the engine off see if the shift between 1st to 2nd feel,s free if not it could be the cable check the clutch is disengageing all the way it should go into reverse without crunching, other then that it could be a synchro ring worn check that the gearbox has the right oil in it.

If the clutch is correctly adjusted, it will start to engage when releasing the clutch pedal at 1 in. off of the floor. When in Heavy traffic shift trans to neutral while at a stop, take your foot off of the clutch pedal to avoid overheating the release bearing

Will not shift into first gear

Sounds like your clutch is out of adjustment, or needs to be bled. Most of the ktm's use a Magura hydraulic clutch which can be bled using Mineral Oil. DO NOT USE BRAKE FLUID.

Problems selecting 1st gear peugeot 106 1.1 zest

If the clutch is a problem you will have difficulty selecting 1st only as the gears would be spinning from the engine revs.. I would say that the front input shaft (clutch shaft) bearing is failing allowing miss alignment of the synchros and not allowing proper engagement of the gears synchro rings. It means removal and repair to the gear box so the clutch can be inspected while the box is out.

I can put my 1994 toyota tercel in gear without pushing in the clutch, what could the problems be?

Do you mean with the engine off? If so, that is normal. The clutch just allows you to disconnect from engine when it running. With the clutch released and engine running the gears are spinning all the time. When in neutral, the chain of gears to the final drive is incomplete. When you engage a gear you are completing a chain of gear connections to the wheels. If engine is running, you will grind gears untill you press clutch, making a temporary break in the chain, allowing the gears to stop spinning and you to engage one.

You can infact use 1st gear as a kind of parking brake as it holds the car from rolling (in most cases) , with engine OFF, - BUT this is not advised as the only parking brake.

1997 Yamaha YZF 1000 clutch and/or transmission problem?

well this is something that is as you said " not normal" i would guess that clutch is smoked. after it warms up do a 3rd gear roll on at about 45 mph. if you drop the hammer and the motor revs and you don't go anywhere stop the ride and R&R your clutch
something else to make sure of is that you clutch fuild is good and has no air in the line
Good luck

Won't go into gear. Like it's stuck in neutral .Started off as difficult to shift when stopped about 20 min. later lost all gears while shifting from 2nd to 3rd.

Sounds like a clutch-related problem. To see if it is, firstly get the car in an area where it could move forwards or backwards a bit without hitting anything. I'm going to assume now that you can select all the gears just like normal when the engine is off. If you can't, then the problem is with the gearbox linkage or the gearbox itself. Then, with the engine stopped, select 1st gear and put your foot on the clutch and then start the engine. If the car attempts to drive off or the starter motor is driving the car, then the clutch cable requires checking or adjusting, or your clutch has worn out. A worn clutch won't allow you to change gears with the engine running. You may be able to tighten the clutch cable a bit to get a temporary fix, but think about replacing the clutch now.

Low gears wont slide into gear when in traffic jams or hot.

Sounds like you do need a clutch adjustment.Do you have a hydraulic clutch?Check beside the brake master cylinder and look for a SMALLER size master cylinder which may be low on fluid.(PUT ONLY BRAKE FLUID IN TO FILL IT).Hopefully it is just low and the brake fluid fill will restore your clutch adjustment.
