Leaded fuel hasn't been available in the US for about 15 years or more. Just make sure to use an octane rating high enough to prevent 'pinging' that occurs during acceleration. Hope this helps!

I put regular gas in a toyota corolla 1995 car that requires unleaded fuel only but it will not start what can I do to fix this?

Are you sure you put in petrol and not diesel.the car should start on leaded fuel because it would not notice the difference. Running on leaded fuel on a car with a cat fitted would damage the cat long term.suspect you have another issue.

Can 94 jetta run on leaded or unleaded petrol

It is best to run this engine on unleaded petrol. A high grade unleaded will give you extra performance and cause no damage. Leaded fuel was designed for cars made in the 60's to 80's that had used softer materials in their cylinder heads, leaded fuel pro-longed cylinder head life and reduced pre-ignition. Unleaded fuels are a cleaner, safer fuel to use.

Moving to a location with access to leaded fuel and diesel only. Will Honda VT125 Shadow run okay on leaded fuel?

Yes, it will run good on leaded fuel. As a matter of fact, you will probably notice that it runs cooler than with the unleaded fuel.

DO I USE LEADED OR UNLEADED PETROL.

Unleaded. Leaded petrol will damage your catalytic converter. If you remove the converter (or just burn it out without plugging it) you can safely use either one.

Dodge Dakota Pick-up Truck - 1995

hello matilda,

im not sure if the reason is the leaded gasoline that you put, but if you want to replace the gasoline in the tank, you can trace if there is a drain bolt under the tank then drain the gas in the tank. be safety consious since your handling flamamble liquids. then if you can trace your fuel line that goes to the engine, you can flush that too with air. then when your sure that the tank is empty and the lines are clean, you can fill it up with your correct unleaded gas and have a good battery ready and crank your engine until the new gas is in the engine already and i hope it would start now.

i hope i was able to help you.

pls rate me..

tnx
