1998 gsxr 750 srad

Some bikes have a safety switch on the wires attached to the clutch leaver, check that the cable is not loose as you might have a bad connection.

Got a suzuki gsxr srad 2000 model went out for a ride today since i brought the bike 2 weeks ago and i let her warm up with the choke up must of forgot to put it back down for the ride and now it wont...

Around 2000 was the first year for fuel injection for the GSXR 750. It really isn't a 'choke' in the true sense of the word. It's a device that causes a high idle similar to an 'enrichener circuit' to warm up the bike engine. There should be no damage to the engine by leaving it on for a short ride so I'm thinking there was an unlerlying issue with the bike that the previous owner left undisclosed.

Around 2003 that device was abandoned due to the advancement of technology in fuel injection and was no longer needed.

After typing this response I just noticed the original post date was in 2012 and I'm sure the bike has been either repaired, sold or crashed by now but maybe this answer will be helpful to someone else.....

I have a 1997 gsxr 750 srad. it will turn over and everything works but there is no fire. someone lost the key and proceeded to bust the ignition out. how do i wire the ignition wires up to a toggle...

Ha ha, good luck "hotwiring" your "hot" (read:STOLEN) Motorcycle. Me thinks an owner who's paid for it would pay a bit more and put a proper ignition in place.

I don't think fix'ya should help'ya...

No Luck.
