Have a Cub Recon 60" with Kohler 25. After the mower warms up it will struggle or not turn right even at a gentle turn. Left rear pump wines to the point i can hear it threw my ear plugs. Mower is under warranty but curious what to expect from the dealer. Hope they will fix it correctly. Spent $7000+ dont want to have to haul it to the shop every summer. Just looking for insight to guard against lack of knowledge

I have owned a 2008 Recon 60. It has been to 3 different repair shops 5 times for the same thing-eating belts. I have 1 month left on the warranty. I am told each time that is something different. Don't expect much from Cub Cadet either I'm afraid to say. It literally has spent more time in the shop than in my garage. It's presently in the shop.

I have the exact same problem that just started today. I am going to call the repair place now but if you hear anything let me know @ [email protected] There is an inline filter for the hydraulics under the seat. I hope that is all it is. its about 30$.

Cub cadet runs fine until I start the PTO, then it stutters and dies. If I shut off the PTO blade, it will pick back up and run again

I had a similar problem with my cub Cadet. It turned out that the Ignition Module on the engine was cracked. Motor started OK - but died as soon as a load (such as engaging the mower) was put on it.

These are not terribly hard to check, and/or change, yourself. Easy to get to once the motor shroud is removed.

My 25 HP Kohler engine has 2 modules. EXPENSIVE from the dealer - found MUCH better prices online.

My 25 horse kohler starts when I put gas in the carb, then shuts off. I have gas from the fuel pump--HELP!

first check for power going to the solenoid on the bottom of the carb its a anti backfire valve if you have power there when the key is cranking and when turned on the solenoid might just be stuck if that works maybe the gas that was left in the carb turn bad

How to change mower blades

fine a way to stop blade from turning, put a socket with long handle and turn countercock wise, some will need a wench on nut at top of shaft to stop blade from turning, torque to 60 # on most 50" or lower width mowers
