I need to change the clutch on my 1981 Kawasawki KE125

How do I access the clutch plates on my 1981 Kawasawki KE125? I have never changed a clutch before. I tried adjusting it but it still slips when you give it gas as you ride. I would appreciate some guidance.I need to know how to acess it.
Thank you
Cory

It should be under the left side engine case. un do case screws, remove clutch cable, the clutch should have a series of plates and are held in a basket with a big nut in the centre holding it on to the crank, remove nut and it all should slide off towards you. replace plates and replace every thing in the reverse order, when done make sure that there is 1/4 inch of play in the adjustment of the clutch lever. This means when you pull in the clutch you should not feel any resistance for the first 1/4 clutch lever travel. also when trying to undo clutch centre nut, put the bike in gear and put a steel bar through the spokes of the wheel held against the swing arm to lock up the engine to undo the nut and tighten it.

Buy a clutch cover gasket. Take clutch cover off, remove 5 bolts and pressure plate, pull each plate out one at a time keeping them in order, replace with new plates, new plates go in same order. Soak the new plates in oil overnight before installing. Clean gasket surfaces completley.

Clutch won't release on 92 Nissan P/U. Changed Clutch Master Cylinder and slave. Bled system. Have good travel on slave cylinder but still does not release the clutch when the pedal is pushed?

If the vehicle has been standing for some time (6 months or more) without use, the clutch plate facings may be 'stuck' to the flywheel and pressure plate surface.
To check/clear this problem:-
(with the engine not running!)
hold clutch pedal down - then from under vehicle, find an opening in the clutch bellhousing (such as a water drain slot) where you can see/access the edge of the clutch plate (sandwiched between the pressure plate and flywheel).
Use a screwdriver blade (or similar tool) to prise clutch plate free from flywheel face (only small movement is required).
If the above is not the cause of your problem, 1) the clutch throwout mechanism should be examined for problems,
2) the pressure plate is faulty- may need to be replaced.

Clutch went out from using car oil

First try changing the oil to an inexpensive motorcycle oil.
Run the bike while engaging & disengaging the clutch until the engine is too warm to touch.
Drain the oil & replace with fresh.
See if this flush has improved the clutch performance.
