I need the color codes for the ignition sysem of a 2004 kawasaki ninja 250r , I lost my keys and I'm trying to get it running so i can get around.

There is wiring diag for an EL250E, that may give you a good guide or maybe even one of the other manuals. Check them out, you never know, http://www.carlsalter.com/motorcycle-manuals.asp

Would the fairing parts of a 2006 kawasaki ninja 250 fit a 2005 kawasaki ninja 250?

Yes I do believe they do. Try going to Powersportseast.com Look in the shopping section on the left of the homepage. You will want to use the parts fische and load the info for your bike. It allows you to see what the dealer parts counter can see. See if this helps. I'm pretty sure the 250 ninja really didn't change until 2008 when it got the BIG overhaul

My 2008 Ninja 250 tires to start itself

The switch is the most likely source of the problem. Check it with a volt ohmmeter. Put the key in off and check the terminals. Next turn the key to the 1st position and check the terminals then on any further positions. The next time the bike self starts is when you want to re-check the switch terminals.

You know, this has all the signs of an internal short in the switch. Just tell the dealer to give you a new switch. Switch failure after 5 hours of riding is simply unacceptable.
