I can't get the driver seat off of my 2002 Yamaha Roadstar 1600. Can anyone help, please?

Roadstars have a seat lock operated via ignition switch.
Insert the key into the ignition switch. Turn the key in the counter-clockwise direction as far as you can (don't push down on the key...just turn). You'll hear a click release sound from the front end of the seat. The seat front should now lift for you. Sometimes the lock can stick so you may need to push down on the seat front while turning the key to get the latch released.

Same problem - cannot get seat to release no

Have you tried the opposite way and push/whack on the seat area above the seat at the same time? If doesnot work try do the same to the left turn one.

Cannot get the set off on a yamaha roadstar

I assume you want to remove the SEAT from the motorcycle. Easy, put the key in the ignition, turn it clockwise from lock to the next click, push the key down and turn anti clockwise, this will release the seat.
