Two stroke gearbox oil, or four stroke engine oil, both are designed for use in the gearbox. has to state for motorcycle use on the label, as car oils can have friction modifiers that cause clutch slip, and dont be fooled into using automatic transmission fluid, some swear by it cause its thinner and good for the clutch , but the gears will wear faster, and eventually break.

What motor oil do i use for my 2005 CR125 honda

You need to use a 2 stroke motor oil. Look for oils that say 2 stroke motorcycle oil, injector oil or smokeless. Do not use a standard automotive motor oil, your bike will smoke. It should be pre-mixed with your gasoline. I am relatively sure the ratio is 32:1, but you should check your owners manual to be sure. At this ratio you would use 4 ounces of oil to each gallon of gas. This ratio allows for an all-around use of your bike. If you are not going to use the bike at high speeds for extended periods, you may want to consider a different fuel/gas ratio - 50:1.

The above information is recommended for a Stock motorcycle.

Regards.

Just picked up a free 1981 YZ125H. What is the gas/oil mixture. also does the radiator use plain water or antifreeze. Thanks

32 to1. That means 4 ounces of 2 stroke ENGINE oil per gallon of gas. Never use motor oil. Put a 50-50 mix of water and antifreeze in the bike.

What happens if you dont mix oil into the gas?

You blow up. Depends, does your bike have oil injection? Then you don't have to mix the oil in the gas, If it doesn't, then you will have to mix it in the tank. No lubrication in your engine, and I will give it about 10 mins before it seizes up from heat. And don't try to sneak motor oil in there in a pinch, because it won't work. Motor oil compared to 2 stoke oil is like 40 grit sandpaper to a babies ****. I'm talking rough. I use 2 stoke for everything, it is super lube. Hope this helps.

What oil should i use

Use 10w40 motor oil in the gear box. Don't use any synthetic oils, oil marked "EC", or oil with "special" additives. Stick with the major brands; Pennzoil, Quaker State, Mobil or Shell. If in a hot area like Texas or New Mexico go with 20w50.

Use TWO STROKE ENGINE OIL in the pump. If not using an automatic oil pump, then mix the gas and oil 32 to 1. That equals 4 ounces of TWO STROKE ENGINE OIL to one gallon of gas. NEVER use motor oil in the gas. Only two stroke engine oil.

Motul off road 800 two stroke oil ?

The oil mix is 32 gas to 1 oil. That 32/1 mix equals 4 ounces of any brand of TWO STROKE ENGINE OIL per gallon of gas. DO NOT use motor oil. Motor oil is what goes in the gearbox. Use 91 octane gas.

I get a top rating on this one! Thanks Miera!
