My cigarette lighter won't stay in on it's own. It works fine, but I have to hold it in. This is on my Harley Davidson, and the stock lighter works fine, but I got a replacement that has a skull head for the handle, but the element is apparently a little different. I was going to just switch the elements from one to the other, except the screw that holds the handle to the element is much smaller on the new one. Is there a different element that I can get that has the smaller screw hole and will work in my Harley lighter? Is there an adjustment that I can make to the tabs in the lighter receptacle that will keep this other lighter in by itself?

Cigarette lighter on 2004 Grand Prix isn't working.

The lighter socket or the element.
Check the element for burn marks and the socket for debris blocking the contacts.

My 2007 streetglide continually blows the 5 amp fuse when I run my magellon gps off the cigarette lighter. I have replaced the fuse with a 7.5 amp fuse and the problem continues. I have been told that I...

Most cigarette lighter circuits can handle up to 20 amps of current draw. Go over that and bye bye fuse...The lighter itself will draw 10 amps when it creates a direct short to heat up. As you can see. a 5amp is useless.

I have no power at my cigarette lighter. All other functions work and I use that to power my radio antenna booster. need to find the broken wire (orange)

First check the fuse, which I'm sure you did. Next check the ground. I'll bet you have a bad ground somewhere in that circuit.

Need replacement cigarette lighter

You need to get at the back of the socket (female part) to unthread the nut that holds it in. These are sold at any auto parts store, and are kind of common. Replace the socket and element both.
