Sounds like you may have a blowing exhaust?...if so it needs sealing as it sucks air in when you shut off & cause's the back fire

I bet it's either the killswitch, the safety switch in the kickstand or the starter solenoid. I used to have one of these bikes and the kick stand switch was a pain...totally removed it.

your clutch may be burnt up, but try adjusting the clutch cable out a little more, or if you have a hydraulic clutch fill it with fluid and prime it.
