My friend laid my 95 suzuki intruder 1400 down. Not much damage but had to get new battery and it just keeps cranking over. It has been sitting for bout 4 months with half a tank of gas in tank I have had my bike sit longer before and it still started with the same gas in tank.It started fine before. Any idea where i should check first?

Check the plugs......there probably fowled.....then check for fire......if you got that, then make sure your fuel valve is in the ON position (I know it sounds stupid).....if it is then you may want to give the carburetor a little tap.....I had an 800, car pulled out in front of me... hit em..... got it to crank up but the float was hung in the carb

hope this helps

Where the battery is at

Did you check it under the seat?

The battery on my 1995 Suzuki intruder 1400 keeps going dead. Why?

either the battery has had it or you're alternator has. if theres no lights on the clock when engine running i'd say the battery was worn out. put a voltmeter across the battery before starting, should be in excess of 12 volts. start the engine and look again, should be up around 13+ volts, this will prove the charging circuit is ok. if the battery isn't faulty then you have a current leak somewhere, check all your connections especially alarm systems

Do they make a larger gas tank for a 95 suzuki intruder 1400

try a custom tank building shop to see if they can fabricate one for you.

Bought 1994 Suzuki Intruder 1400. Had sat for 2 years. Put new battery in and now it just tries to start, but won't. Removed plugs and they looked new, but bone dry. Shouldn't they have been wet from...

it sits for 2 years so you have to general check and clean everything, first replace the battery, spark plugs oil filter(if any) have your oil change, clean and balance your carburator and air cleaner, remove your gas tank empty it and clean use new gas, if you can spray an WD40 on all wiring socket then start the bike

I need instructions on how to put a battery in my 1991 Intruder 1400!? My son is away and he usually does it for me. thanks Joe D

Hey Joe ! Batt is either behind one of the sidecovers or under the seat. Start w/the sidecovers. Remove red and black wire from battery and pull it out. Make sure new batt has been trickle charged overnite...reinstall is opposite of removal, make sure red wire is on positive+ and black negative- Good Luck to you friend....tim
