Cardstock won't feed

The cardstock won't feed through the only paper tray. Keeps jamming. Zero success so far.

I changed the print setting to thick stock but it didn't help.

You need to hand feed these things.....one at a time. I sometimes find that I have to "help" it a little bit to get it feed by putting just a bit of pressure on the paper to push it into the feeder. Another trick is to make sure the front edge is turned up just a bit. (I usually take about 10-15 pieces of cardstock and roll them, and then feed them one at a time) that seems to work pretty well, too

Paper jam at exit

Have you set the tray to thick cardstock in the printer?
If not try that. This will let thicker paper go through more easily.
Make sure you bot have the tray as the printjob set up as the same type of paper.
How much does the paper weigh?
Also try printing from the manual feed. You're paper path is shorter that way and easier for the printer to handle.
Does it only jam on this type of paper?
Might be a fuser easy but don't think that's the case with this one.

Paper jam for card stock on xerox ColorQube 8870

Select "Cardstock" in the 'paper type' menu, either through your operating system's 'Print' dialog, or via the printer's front panel (or select it both places, just to be sure).

If the jams continue with your cardstock, there's another cardstock option in each of those menus. It is "Glossy Cardstock". That worked for me.

Note this slows the printing to half speed.

[email protected] I am trying to print on 110 lb cardstock and It keeps geeting stuck. I can't seem to find where I should change the paper type. Please advise.

Use the hand feed tray on the right side. When you put paper in this tray it usually will ask you to set the paper type. 110 lb. card stock is EXTREMELY difficult to copy onto. It might be better to bring this particular job to a copy center. This type of stock will put serious wear on your machines drum. Drums cost big money. Good luck.

When i use card stock it acts like a paper jam, with a little help it prints fine

Make sure that you are setting the proper paper type before printing any paper other than "plain" by going into the printer's "properties/preferences". If it's thick paper, choose "thick" or "heavy" or "cardstock" in the drop-down arrow.

Unless, of course, your printer doesn't accept cardstock at all, then you're out of luck.

Hope this helps. :)

If there printer is not able to print on card stock then check the recommend
card stock paper thickness, if the printer works with normal paper but not card stock then there is problem in the card stock and by using this paper may also damage the rollers on the printer and make the printer useless ...

Good luck...

Paper too thick?

You will need to use the manual feed and insert the cardstock one page at a time. First look at the rear of the printer for a purple dial. Roll the dial downward. This will allow the printer to exit straight out the back of the machine. Allow enough room at the rear of the printer so the cardstock doesn't hit anything on the way out. Next look at the front of the machine at the **** just above the paper tray. You'll see an envelope icon. Align the cardstock when manual feeding one sheet at a time to the left side of the **** next to the envelope icon. When you hit "file, print" select MANUAL FEED in the print window.

The 4L will only do cardstock by one at a time in the way noted above as the feed system isn't strong enough to make the sharp bend coming out of the tray or in the back to bend it around and into the top tray.

Paper keeps jamming

To print card stock you must us the manual slot in the front of the printer and feed one at a time. Also open the back flap door so the card stock can exit out the back instead of trying to bend around for the try. That will give you the staight paper path that your thick stock needs.
